Lucienne de Naie currently serves on:

  • the 25-member citizens’ advisory committee updating the County General Plan
  • the advisory committee for Maui Economic Development Board's Focus Maui Nui outreach project
  • the advisory committee for the Hawaiian Tourism Authority’s Maui County Strategic Plan update.

De Naie has held leadership positions with:

  • the Mayor’s Open Space Advisory Committee,
  • the Maui Coastal Land Trust,
  • the Maui Cultural Lands,
  • the Ha'iku Community Association,
  • the Ha'iku School Ho'olaule'a and
  • Maui Tomorrow
  • long time adviser to Kaunoa Senior Center "Pacesetters" walking club and
    Hauoli Kukini senior hiking group sponsored by American Cancer Society
  • Surfrider Foundation, Maui Chapter
Lucienne has lead Makena State Park clean-ups involving hundreds of citizens over the past five years. She has worked with state park officials, Community Work Day and local civic groups to remove tons of rubbish and dangerous debris from the Park lands.

She currently serves as statewide chairperson of the 5,000 member Sierra Club Hawaii Chapter.
