De Naie has held leadership positions with:
- the Mayor’s Open Space Advisory Committee,
- the advisory committee for the Hawaiian Tourism Authority’s Maui County Strategic Plan update.
- the Maui Cultural Lands,
- the Ha'iku Community Association,
- the Ha'iku School Ho'olaule'a and
- Maui Tomorrow
- long time adviser to Kaunoa Senior Center "Pacesetters" walking club

Lucienne has lead Makena State Park clean-ups involving hundreds of citizens over the past five years. She has worked with state park officials, Community Work Day and local civic groups to remove tons of rubbish and dangerous debris from the Park lands. |
She currently serves as statewide chairperson of the 5,000 member Sierra Club Hawaii Chapter.
